January Snow Trip to Hume

The Mountains had been calling to us!  It had been 2 years since our first snow visit with the girls.  And, we really wanted to go to Hume.  Such a special place for us, we want the girls to love it too!  We had so much fun going to Hume Lake with the E. family!  The girls got to ice skate, sled, play in the snow, eat the snow, and watch the mommies & daddies go down the rediculously fast snow run.  Seriously, it was not like that when I used to go to winter camp.  And, I might add, there is now a tow rope that tows you up the hill so you don't even have to walk up the hill!!!

The Worst Mom Ever

Yep, that's me!  Or, at least that's what the girls will say to me when I do horribly mean things like, not let them have a candy or watch a movie.  Yeah, at first it kind of hurt but, now I'm getting used to it.  I should mention during their princess obssessed days (which is still present but not as strong) they would frequently curtsy and call me "Most Vile Queen".  I didn't mind being called a queen, I must say, it was kind of nice.  And, in their defense, they thought they were saying something nice.  I finally convinced them that "vile" was not a nice thing to call somebody.  So, now, I am "The Worst Mom Ever"!  And, after almost six years of really being a mom I am finally starting to feel like one.  It is such a hard job, and I am awfully clumsy at it. But, at the end of the day when I am reading the girls their stories I will always cherish the way they cuddle up to me and say, " You're the best mom ever."
